Gozo is far away from the bustling business life and also from most urban nights out but the potential is their traditions and traditional feasts and events.

Most weekends look out for events held in different parts in Gozo.  Gozitans put in their full potential throughout the year for each event.  In Xaghra there several events are held starting in January, the blessing of the animals where many villagers turn up with their pets from horses to hamsters, all in their best makeover to be blessed by the bishop.  Easter is also a special time as many villages celebrate this period with pageants, processions, exhibitions and annual spiritual rituals.  In Xaghra the village feast is dedicated to Our Lady of Victories which is held on 8th September and it is a public holiday.  This is a prominent feast and very popular besides being the biggest village feast at the end of Summer time.
