Recently, a complex has been set up to introduce its visitors with very interesting background information before exploring this prehistoric monument.

The site must be admired for the free-standing high stones that surround the inner apses and altars but having a closer look many decorative stones can be rewardingly discovered.

Around this majestic structure is an elevated area where worshippers used to gather for communal spiritual rituals and feasts.  And what a backdrop the congregation enjoyed with slopes from Xaghra reaching the limpid sea surrounding the islands of Comino and Malta at the far end!
